With card payments on your smartphone, you can easily accept cashless payments directly via the orderbird PRO app. To use Tap to Pay on iPhone, the following requirements must be met:

Technical requirements:
- Min. iPhone XS or newer
- Min. iOS 18.3 or newer
- Min. orderbird PRO app version 8.3.0
- Valid Apple ID
- Face ID or passcode lock is enabled on the iPhone
- Stable internet connection

- Location in Germany
- You have activated orderbird card payments with NEXI as your payment provider.

Activating Card Payments on Your Smartphone

To use card payments on your smartphone, you need to activate the feature directly on the iPhone you want to use to accept cashless payments.
- Log in as the admin of the orderbird PRO app.
- Open the orderbird PRO app and tap on the “Tap to Pay” banner.
- Follow the steps in the activation assistant.

Why Do I Need an Apple ID?
Card payments on iPhone are based on Apple’s “Tap to Pay” functionality. To enable this feature for you, you’ll need to sign in once with the Apple ID already linked to your device. This happens automatically when you follow the steps in the activation assistant.
I don’t see a card payment banner in the app?
- Are you logged in as an admin in the orderbird PRO app?
- Do you have at least app version 8.3.0 installed?
- Card payments on your smartphone are currently only available if you process your card payments through NEXI. If you have any questions or would like to make changes, please contact our support team at help@orderbird.com.
