How do I reset my Pay Terminal Plus?

Your Pay Terminal Plus is no longer processing transactions? Even tapping or inserting a card won't help? 
Your terminal has most probably stopped working. But do not worry, with these instructions you have a quick aid to bring your Pay Terminal Plus back to life.


In a nutshell

  • Delete your Pay Terminal Plus in the orderbird PRO App: Go to "Settings" > "Payment" > "Payment Terminal" > "Manage Terminals"
  • Remove the existing pairing on the Pay Terminal Plus > Paired devices > Remove paired devices
  • Reset the Pay Terminal Plus as follows:
    1. Settings > Information > Reset app data and confirm by tipping on OK.
    2. Storage > Clear data
    3. Leave the menu
  • Follow the instructions and set up your Pay Terminal Plus. 
  • Pair the Pay Terminal Plus with orderbird PRO again

Let's go

Follow these seven steps in order to be up and running again with your Pay Terminal Plus:

  1. First, remove the existing pairing of the card reader.
    1.  In orderbird PRO, go to "Settings" > "Payment" > "Payment Terminal" > "Manage Terminals".
      1. Under "Paired Wi-Fi Terminals" you see the connected Pay Terminal Plus. Swipe left over the name of the card reader until you see "Delete".
      2. Tap on "Delete".
    2. On the Pay Terminal Plus, enter the menu via tapping in the upper left corner. Then, tap on "Paired devices". 
      1. Tap the trash can symbol on the paired Apple device.
      2. Confirm by tapping on "Remove" and tap on the arrow.
  2. Re-enter the menu in the top left corner of your terminal, then go to Settings > Information
    1. Select the option “Reset app data”. Read the instructions and confirm with “OK”.
    2. Tap on “Storage”, “Clear data” and confirm.
    3. Finally, tap on the circle at the bottom of the screen. Your home screen will appear again after the procedure has ended.
  3. Follow the instructions and set up the Pay Terminal Plus again.
